In 1981 I got my first automatic camera (a Konica C35 AF) from my father for my three-month trip through Australia. Since then I have pursued photography as a hobby. A few years ago I bought myself a Canon EOS 500 N with a Sigma telephoto lens as a Christmas present. Today I have three boxes full of pictures and negatives stored in my closet and I would like to let people look at them.

Nature and horses are my favorite DownToEarth motifs, although people seem to enjoy the cute little German houses as well.

In November 2001 I had an opportunity to show my pictures at a hobby exhibition, which was very exciting for me since I'd never shown my pictures to anyone but family members and close friends. After receiving very positive reactions at the exhibition, I began to participate in a three-year correspondence course in December 2001 called "Photography and Film". I'm still in the middle of it and I'm curious as to where this is going to lead me.

Enjoy!
